German artist Otto Heinz Mack is best known for his light-generated reliefs and his famous desert installations, which are among the earliest examples of land art. He is also considered a co-founder of the internationally influential ZERO Group. He has also taken part in the documenta several times and represented Germany at the Venice Biennale in 1970.<\/p>\n

from 1950<\/strong> studies at the art academy in D\u00fcsseldorf
from 1953<\/strong> studied philosophy at the University of Cologne
1956<\/strong> state examination in art education and philosophy
In 1956<\/strong> he moved into a studio in D\u00fcsseldorf together with Otto Piene
In 1957<\/strong> the first joint evening exhibition took place there. The ZERO group emerged from this.
