He is also known as the founder of the artists&#8217; associations <em>Groupe Suisse Abstraction et Surrealisme<\/em> and Allianz. He is one of the most important pioneers of modern art in Switzerland. In his work, he undogmatically linked constructive style principles with surrealistic elements. Towards the end of the First World War he came into contact with the Zurich Dada movement and became friends with Jean Arp, among others.<\/p>\n<p>born <strong>1893<\/strong> in Zurich<br \/>died <strong>1972<\/strong> in Zurich<br \/><strong>1910-1914<\/strong> attends the specialist class for graphic arts at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Zurich<br \/><strong>1934<\/strong> Foundation of the Groupe Suisse Abstraction et Surr\u00e9alisme<br \/><strong>1937<\/strong> Foundation of the group &#8220;die allianz&#8221; together with Lohse<br \/><strong>1940<\/strong> &#8220;Published the &#8220;Almanac of New Art in Switzerland&#8221;<br \/><strong>From 1959<\/strong> to 1960, Leuppi taught experimental design in the fashion class at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Zurich.<br \/>From <strong>1963<\/strong> he gave up his studio on M\u00fchlebachstrasse in Zurich and moved to the Bombach hospital in Zurich-H\u00f6ngg.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Swiss painter, graphic artist, sculptor Leo Leuppi was a representative of the Zurich School of Concrete Art.
