Enfant, il fait ses premi\u00e8res exp\u00e9riences avec la peinture et les pinceaux dans l&rsquo;entreprise de son p\u00e8re, peintre d\u00e9corateur. Sa premi\u00e8re phase a \u00e9t\u00e9 influenc\u00e9e par l&rsquo;impressionnisme, qui a ensuite \u00e9t\u00e9 suivie d&rsquo;une phase fauviste. Cependant, sa collaboration et son amiti\u00e9 avec Pablo Picasso, avec qui il fonde le cubisme au d\u00e9but du XXe si\u00e8cle, sont d\u00e9terminantes pour son d\u00e9veloppement artistique. Apr\u00e8s son service pendant la Premi\u00e8re Guerre mondiale, il rompt avec ce mouvement artistique. La production de sculptures et de c\u00e9ramiques devient particuli\u00e8rement intensive dans sa derni\u00e8re phase cr\u00e9ative. Outre ses peintures, il existe \u00e9galement une \u0153uvre graphique d&rsquo;eaux-fortes, d&rsquo;eaux-fortes en couleurs, de lithographies et de gravures sur bois.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e9 en <strong>1882<\/strong> \u00e0 Argenteuil (France)<br \/><strong>1899<\/strong> Apprentissage de peintre d\u00e9corateur au Havre, tout en suivant les cours du soir de l&rsquo;\u00c9cole des Beaux-Arts<br \/><strong>1902-1904<\/strong> Etudes \u00e0 l&rsquo;Acad\u00e9mie Humbert (Paris), o\u00f9 il rencontre Marie Laurencin et Francis Picabia<br \/>Exposition de <strong>1906<\/strong> au XXII.
