L&rsquo;artiste a re\u00e7u sa formation artistique \u00e0 l&rsquo;Acad\u00e9mie royale des beaux-arts de Li\u00e8ge aupr\u00e8s d&rsquo;Auguste Mambour. Ses premi\u00e8res \u0153uvres, o\u00f9 la couleur joue un r\u00f4le majeur, s&rsquo;inspirent des \u0153uvres expressionnistes d&rsquo;Auguste Herbin.
