Il a lib\u00e9r\u00e9 la peinture du contenu narratif et a fait du m\u00e9dium artistique de la couleur et de la forme le sujet lui-m\u00eame. Depuis le d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 1960, il concentre son travail sur les interactions de la couleur, de la ligne et de la surface, cr\u00e9ant ainsi un effet tridimensionnel, parfois aussi \u00e0 travers un dessin en relief.
