Partant de paysages aux couleurs ternes, en passant par des natures mortes, ses toiles \u00e9voluent vers une forme plus stylis\u00e9e. A partir de 1950, il se pr\u00e9sente comme un peintre abstrait. Il d\u00e9couvre le porteur d&rsquo;image comme semblant infini, puisque les travaux se poursuivent au-del\u00e0 des bords. La technique de la peinture int\u00e9grale, qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tablie par Jackson Pollock, est \u00e9galement utile. Pour Morellet, les techniques artistiques sont plus importantes que le r\u00e9sultat final. Il cherche constamment \u00e0 approfondir son travail et utilise le n\u00e9on comme mat\u00e9riau \u00e0 partir de 1963. L&rsquo;artiste s&rsquo;int\u00e9resse aux propri\u00e9t\u00e9s mat\u00e9rielles sp\u00e9cifiques des tubes de n\u00e9on. Au fil du temps, il s&rsquo;est \u00e9galement int\u00e9ress\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;architecture et \u00e0 l&rsquo;espace. En 1992, Morellet r\u00e9sume son \u0153uvre dans l&rsquo;ouvrage \u00ab\u00a0Rel\u00e2che n\u00b0 1\u00a0\u00bb. Pour cette \u0153uvre il utilise tous les mat\u00e9riaux qui ont jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le dans son travail jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent &#8211; de la toile peinte aux tubes n\u00e9ons en passant par l&rsquo;adh\u00e9sif et le ruban m\u00e9tallique &#8211; il est \u00e9galement guid\u00e9 par les lois du hasard, qui donnent \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u0153uvre le charme de ( con\u00e7u ) donne du d\u00e9sordre.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e9 \u00e0 Cholet (France) en <strong>1926<\/strong><br \/>D\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 Cholet en <strong>2016<\/strong><br \/><strong>1948-1975<\/strong> travail dans l&rsquo;entreprise parentale<br \/><strong>1960-1968<\/strong> membre du groupe \u00ab\u00a0GRAV\u00a0\u00bb (Groupe de Recherche d&rsquo;Art Visuel), groupe d&rsquo;artistes travaillant en cin\u00e9tique<br \/>a v\u00e9cu et travaill\u00e9 \u00e0 Cholet et \u00e0 Paris.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u0152uvre de la collection : Fran\u00e7ois Morellet, Balance war n\u00b0 2, 2000, peinture acrylique et pastel sur bois, tube n\u00e9on, 85 x 103 cm.
