Friedrich Geiler is a regional, constructivist artist. His works range from painting and sculptures to facade design and interior installations. Compared to other artists, Constructivists like himself only have circles and squares at their disposal, which Friedrich Geiler skilfully uses and reinterprets. A circle is not always an area, it can also be a hoop, opened or broken, enclosing nothing or forming a space; it’s the same with the squares, sometimes they’re rectangles, sometimes they’re wider, sometimes they’re longer – that’s up to the viewer’s interpretation. In addition, Friedrich Geiler is an artist who works heavily with colors. This enables him to depict nuances from light to dark with the finest brushstrokes.
