Jorge Caraballo

Jorge Caraballo is a Uruguayan artist whose early work can be described as visual poetry. Since the turn of the century, geometric abstractions can often be found in his works. His guiding principles are rigor and precision. His work has been exhibited internationally.

In 1971 he won a grant from the French government to study with Frank Popper at the University of Vincennes (France).
1987 AICA Prize – International Association of Criticos of Art
