Josef Linschinger lives and works in Altmünster am Trausee (Austria). His works can be described as concrete and constructive. Central motifs of his works are lines, dots and surfaces. He examines their relationship to space and time. Linschinger is primarily interested in how we deal with language and codes. The latter is particularly interesting in a world where almost anything can be scanned with a scanner. His encryptions can be seen as possible future visions in which we completely detach ourselves from words.
