Peter Staechelin is a painter of concrete art. He can be described as the inventor of the color triad in surfaces. A difficult task in the case of concrete, constructive art, since a coherent visual solution has to be found. His works always move between dynamic and standstill in order to achieve a harmonious effect. He was successful and present throughout Europe, so he had a total of 50 solo exhibitions in 15 European countries from 1958. He was represented 300 times in group exhibitions. In addition to his own successful artistic work, he also worked as a professor at the University of Education in Freiburg.
