Hans Jörg Glattfelder was a painter of constructive art whose beginnings were strongly influenced by the “Züricher Konkreten”. He was the first artist who attempted to transfer the complex concepts of space in physics to constructive art. In his works, a new dialogue between science and fine arts is created. In order to distinguish his works of art from scientific-mathematical models, he describes them as “non-Euclidean metaphors”. In numerous articles, interviews and symposium contributions, Glattfelder advocates the presence of a rationally constituted art (“Meta-Rationalism”, 1983) and calls for interdisciplinary communication between the numerous constructivisms in science and art (“methodical constructivism”). .
